Ask the Dietitian any questions you want about eggs, and she will be glad to give you the answers you need about your health, the mighty egg and even about how to start cooking with your children.

Wednesday, October 7: Twitter Party #Eggucation

Find his video on YouTube after 10 a.m. by searching “Manitoba Egg Farmers”.

In the evening, you’re invited to a sing-a-long, dance-a-long storytime session with a few familiar friends… Elsa and Spiderman from Heather’s Pretty Parties, live at 7 p.m. via Zoom.

For those who might be unfamiliar, The Dream Factory is a local charity that makes dreams come true for kids in Manitoba battling life-threatening illnesses. Manitoba Egg Farmers is a proud partner of the Dream Factory, and we are so excited to have them join us for this year’s Eggstravaganza! To celebrate this fun Eggstravaganza week to the fullest, MEF is making a donation to help kids like Ethan achieve their dreams.

Friday, October 9: Ask Me Anything, Egg Farmer Edition

You ask, we’ll answer. For World Egg Day, we’re celebrating the 170 egg farmers in Manitoba who provide the eggs you love, every day.

We’re asking you to send us your questions about eggs, egg farming and more, and our farmers will answer them. Head over to Twitter and send your questions to Eric Dyck and Catherine Kroeker-Klassen, who will be on deck all day answering your questions.

We will also be on Instagram and Facebook to answer your questions and celebrate World Egg Day! Follow along with the hashtag #WorldEggDayMB

Saturday, October 10: Virtual Egg Farm Tour of Siemens Farms in Rosenort, MB

After learning about eggs all week, it’s time to see one of our egg farms for yourself. Join us for a virtual farm tour of Siemens Farms – the live premiere of the video will be on our Facebook page at 10 a.m.!

Harley Siemens will show you around their farm. Harley works with his dad, Kurt, and other family members on the farm, where they raise pullets and take care of hens. Their hens produce thousands of eggs each day, which are then picked up, graded and then washed and inspected. Each egg is then shipped to the grocery store for you to buy. Kurt and Harley’s eggs usually reach the grocery store 3-5 days after being laid – they’re really fresh!

Join Kurt and Harley after the video for a live Facebook Q&A on our Facebook page, @eggsmanitoba
